about

Sometimes one has to shake things up to break out of creative inertia...(this is a bit more frenetic than most of my previous music)

The last few years sent me in a new direction, instrument-wise...towards the vast sonic palette of analog synthesizers. This piece was made with a combination of small battery-powered synths (the Korg Volca Modular and the tiny-but-mighty Bastl Kastle Drum), the more 'serious' Moog Grandmother and DSI Tetra synths, as well as a small Mason & Hamlin pump organ made around 1884.

The twichy, restless, almost claustrophobic first section of the piece gives way to an opening, a loosening, an elation...into a more solemn variation on the melodic themes, with the chapel-sized pump organ leading the way.

Enjoy! ((d-_-b))
